Welcome to the North Lincolnshire Sanctuary Group!
We are a small, friendly and very busy group of volunteers.
We began life a few years ago as part of Greater Lincolnshire Area of Sanctuary (GLAOS) but in April 2021 we became an independent befriending group known as North Lincolnshire Sanctuary Group (NLSG). Since that time we have responded to the Afghan families arrival in our area, befriending and supporting them, offering practical help, and encouraging active lifestyles. We continue our support of recently arrived Syrian and Iraqi and Turkish families. We also engage with the agencies supporting children who are separated from their families (UASCs). We work co-operatively alongside many local agencies and various faith groups and education establishments.

We keep a stock of donated items to give away to help people setting up home. In June 2022, the Afghan men helped to build shelving and we were able to get items organised. What we have in stock varies and things can come and go quickly but we always have plenty of household goods to give away!
